HOUSTON – July 12, 2017 - Great Western Valve, Inc., an industrial valve company specializing in repair, remanufacturing, and field service for control, pipeline, and relief valves as well as electric actuators, instruments and positioners, announced today it has installed a new Thermogenics boiler and added a new in-line AccuTEST Safety Valve Test System with automated lift assist to service Section I and Section VIII steam valves in the shop and on-site.  Great Western Valve services all makes and models of relief valves and tank vents including Consolidated, Anderson Greenwood Crosby, Farris, Kunkle, Mercer, Reyco, Groth, Hydroseal, Protectoseal, and more. The company holds VR Stamps at four Houston area locations and is certified for both shop and field service.

Great Western Valve operates from seven service centers in Texas and has provided relief valve service in the Houston marketplace for over 50 years.  All locations have both shop and field service with service trucks and onsite trailers.  “We are excited to share news of our new state of the art Thermogenics boiler and in-line testing”, said Kevin Bubien, General Manager Safety Relief Valve Division.  “With the newest technology, our boiler can go from ambient to max set pressures in less than 2 hours.  This allows us to provide Section I and Section VIII steam valve testing anytime while most other shops only run their boilers one or two days a week”.  The company’s new boiler allows it to service customers anytime they need testing.

Great Western Valve is also introducing its new in-line AccuTEST Safety Valve Test System for field testing of relief valves.  Utilizing the industry’s most advanced software, AccuTEST is unparalleled for accuracy, reliability, and safety.  Tests can be performed on all types of exposed spindle valves, from all major manufacturers.  Its automated, computerized operation produces precise, consistent, and repeatable results eliminating the need to take equipment offline or remove welded-in valves.

“In the last few weeks, all three leading national relief valve manufacturers have changed their local distributors and service providers”, said Jim Reilly, Great Western Valve President & CEO.  “Each new entity is learning new products and prioritizing selling new valves.  We have serviced all of these lines for years and are ready to test and repair any manufacturers’ valve anytime”.

Great Western Valve, Inc. is an API Spec Q1, ISO 9001:2008, and VR Stamp National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector certified company who services the refining, petrochemical, pipeline, oil & gas, power generation, and pulp & paper industries and specializes in control, pipeline, and relief valves as well as actuators, instruments, and positioners. The company services all makes and models of automated control valves, pipeline block and bleed isolation valves, all triple off-set seat butterfly valves, gate, globe, and check valves, electric actuators, all brands of relief valves, tank vents, and much more.  The company also provides field service and differentiates itself by providing quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and flexible delivery times that are often far shorter than OEMs and other valve companies.
