Great Western Valve, Inc. Announces New Vice President of Sales and Manager of Controls Division

Company expands senior management team to support continued business growth

HOUSTON – January 9, 2014 - Great Western Valve, Inc., an industrial service company specializing in repair, remanufacturing, and field services for control, pipeline, and relief valves as well as instruments, positioners, and actuators, announced today the new hires of Michael Bailey as Vice President of Sales and Robert Gobel as Manager of Controls Division.

Mr. Bailey will be responsible for leading Great Western Valve’s sales resources, account management, and marketing teams.  Mr. Bailey brings more than 20 years of sales and management experience to his new role having worked with companies providing industrial cleaning, environmental, maintenance, mechanical, and turnaround services to oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, and pipeline customers throughout Texas and the industrial gulf coast.

We are delighted to have him join the team,” said Jim Reilly, President and CEO. “Mike is a proven business leader and sales manager with extensive experience building customer relationships at all organizational levels, collaborating with customers and providing solutions for day to day maintenance and operating needs, as well as long-lead projects and turnarounds.”

Robert Gobel will be responsible for managing the company’s Controls Division including control valve repair, control valve R&G (remanufacture & guarantee), instrumentation, and field services.  Mr. Gobel brings with him more than 24 years of experience in the valve industry holding senior positions in sales, facility management, quality, and production.  He has extensive training and knowledge of control valves, gate, globe, and check valves, actuators, positioners, relief valves, National Board regulations, and field service operations.  Mr. Gobel is also Six Sigma black belt certified.
