Lonestar Actuation Announces New Manager in Daingerfield, Texas

Company expands operations team to support continued East Texas business growth

HOUSTON – October 9, 2014 – Lonestar Actuation, a Great Western Valve, Inc. company, announced today the new hire of Darryl Pratt as Manager of its Daingerfield, Texas location.  Lonestar Actuation is an industrial service company that specializes in repair, remanufacturing, and field services for a wide range of electric actuators including Limitorque, EIM, Rotork, Auma, Biffi, and others.  Together, Great Western Valve and Lonestar Actuation offer turnkey shop repairs and field services as well as remanufactured sales for actuated valve packages. 

Mr. Pratt will be responsible for managing Lonestar Actuation’s shop operations in Daingerfield, Texas.  Mr. Pratt brings more than 31 years of experience in the nuclear and combined-cycle power industry holding senior positions as an MOV Technician, Valve Technician, and Master Rigger. He has extensive training and knowledge of manual, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric actuators, rigging, power outage services, and field service operations.

In 2007, Lonestar Actuation opened its doors and has since expanded to three locations in San Leon, Bacliff, and Daingerfield, Texas and also has MOV technicians at Great Western Valve’s Houston and its Nederland, Texas valve repair shops.  The company provides actuator repair, field services, and parts sales to its customers in the power generation, pipeline, chemical, refining, and manufacturing industries. Lonestar’s extensive inventory of parts and actuators also includes obsolete units and parts which allows the company to repair older models and extend the life of its customers’ existing assets. Currently, the company services the Texas and Gulf Coast market with five Texas locations that provide valve and MOV services.
